Find Your Dream Job While Staying Well

Career transitions can be tricky biz.

As someone who did a complete career 360 within the last year, I know firsthand how draining the entire process can be.

I worked a full-time corporate job throughout my health coach training program, and studied, took numerous other courses, and built my business in the pockets of my time.  I felt like I was living a secret double life, and struggled to make time for the really important stuff.

Before my most recent career change, I'd been through the company-change process as well.  The resume updating, cover letter sending, phone screens, in-person interviews while telling my current employer I had another "doctor's appointment", and the sweating it out while waiting to hear back from my potential new employer was its own brand of exhausting.

Without fail, no matter the particular career transition, my self-care was the first thing I'd let slip.  I had so much stuff to do and so little time - and it felt irresponsible to spend time focused on "less important" stuff like prepping meals for the week, going to yoga class, meditating, or even just lounging at home without a screen in front of my face.

My lack of focus on my health negatively affected every other area of my life, from my relationships, to my energy levels, to my mindset and mental clarity.  I realized towards the middle of my health coach training program that these were self-destructive habits, and they weren't getting me anywhere.  I needed to commit to living all of the incredible things I'd been learning about self-care.

Through a little trial and error I found ways to streamline and simplify my life so that I could feel physically strong and mentally sharp through my huge career transition.  I can't tell you how important it was for me to lay that foundation of self-care for myself.  It made me feel so much less overwhelmed, more grounded and loved, and more like it was actually possible to achieve my goals without burning myself out.

After going through this transition and making mental notes of what worked for me, I connected with my friend (and lifestyle + career coach), Harper Spero - and we realized we had super similar experiences.

Harper and I have been friends for years, seen each other through our party-girl days of the past, and both synchronistically went through major career transitions which led to us leave the corporate world to help other people in the personal development and wellness world.

Throughout our separate journeys, filled with lots of ups and downs, we learned a ton and realized that we absolutely had to create an arsenal of tools that we wish we’d had when we were preparing to make the leap - and this little but mighty eBook was born.

If any of this is hitting home for you, hop right over here to get your hands on your free copy.  Who said you can't make big transitions with grace?

We'll be here cheering you on from the sidelines. You can do this, babe!
