Summer Skin Essential Oils

This summer skin blend I just whipped up is a whole vibe ☀️ (and it takes like 30 sec to make). It's perfect for people who aren't into the DIY thing, too - because you can use it along with your favorite ready-made moisturizer or body oil (as long as they're non-toxic, of course) - no need to be whipping up your own concoctions at home when you have this.My strategy behind this blend:

  • Mega-powerful skin support (super soothing for those days when you get a little *too* much sun, supportive of cellular regeneration, anti-aging + collagen production)

  • Anti-inflammatory (because anything we can do to decrease inflammation levels is a great thing)

  • Calming to the nervous system (everyone benefits from less stress, even our skin)

  • Detoxifying (gotta lighten that toxic load to have radiant insides + outsides)

  • Healthy circulation + lymph drainage (great for varicose veins, cellulite + fluid retention)

Anyway, the list goes on - but those are the big things I had in mind. Also, you'll notice this blend doesn't have photosensitive oils (no citrus) because the last thing we need is unexpected burns when we're living our best summer life.

As for the oils, I used the below - but you could do any combo of these that you choose (using all of them is not a requirement for it to be effective):

☀︎ Lavender

☀︎ Frankincense

☀︎ Balance

☀︎ Lemongrass

☀︎ Copaiba

☀︎ Cypress

Pop equal parts of each in a glass bottle of your choice (I used a dropper bottle for easy access, but reusing an essential oil bottle is perfect, too), and you're done!

To use, I've been putting some body oil/moisturizer in my hand, adding a couple of drops of this blend, then applying it as normal (repeat as you move around your bod).

This would also be legit mixed in a glass spray bottle with filtered water and aloe vera juice as a sun skin spray (shake well before each use). I'll stash some in my beach bag, for sure.Btw, using quality oils is KEY (because essential oils are not created equal - here's a post with deets if you're curious about how to select the good ones). 🌱
