If you know me, you likely know that caffeine makes me twitch so I try to avoid it as much as possible (mega bummer, because I think coffee smells and tastes delish). BUT I'm so freakin' happy that matcha doesn't have that twitchy effect on me - instead, it puts me into this calm, alert, focused state - so iced matcha lattes have been my afternoon treat of choice this summer (in the cooler months, I love 'em warm). Not only are they tasty AF, but they're super anti-inflammatory and packed with antioxidants (and you can pack 'em with good fats, too). Here's my quick recipe in case you wanna give it a try at home: grab your glass or mug, fill it 1/2 with filtered water and 1/2 with coconut milk (leave a little room at the top to make room for froth and ice). Pour those in a blender, add 1 tablespoon of matcha (and 1 tablespoon of coconut butter, if you're making a warm version), and blend until combined. If you're making an iced version, pour the mixture into your glass over ice, and if it's a warm one, pour directly into the mug and sip away. YUM.

The best thing that ever happened to my at-home yoga practice - the Down Dog iPhone app is where it's at. I actually just use the free version and it has everything I need - the ability to choose your style of practice, the length, the type of music you want (the playlists are SO good, and they show you the songs they're playing), your experience level, etc. Not to mention, they show you witty little sayings while you're waiting for your practice to load like, "Please wait... developing a gluten intolerance" or "Please wait... joining a drum circle" - and I just really appreciate an app that good for my mind and body, AND has a sense of humor, ya know?

I don't know about you, but I'd always rather support conscious brands with honest sourcing and production practices than giant corporations with questionable ethics. The only thing is, it can be tricky to keep track of all of the individual brands you love, and shopping online can take forever when you have to go to a whole pile of different sites to find what you're looking for. Enter, The Garmentory, in their words they're "your ultimate online source for emerging and contemporary fashion. We exist so you can do you. Our curated marketplace of indie boutiques and designers gives you direct access to the rad people, and the amazing stuff, behind the next big thing." BOOM. Shopping the brands you actually want to support just got a whole lot easier.

I know we don't necessarily associate water filters with incredible design, but Walter Filter is about to change your mind on that in a big way. Each Walter is handmade in Brooklyn, is made to perfectly accommodate a Berkey filter (one of the gold standards in water purification) - and functions as both a water purifier and a piece of art. Functional art! What's better than that? We have one right next to our sink and it makes the hydration process even more fun than usual (spoken by someone who truly LOVES drinking water).

And because LOLs are an extremely necessary part of life, we need to talk about an Instagram account that entertains me to no end. It's a meme account, obvi - but not with your typical run-of-the-mill memes. This one has the BEST, most awkward vintage video compilations that will make you cringe, laugh, and compulsively DM them to your besties all at the same time. Behold, the hilarious weirdness of @mouthbreather_. I dare you not to waste 20 minutes of your life binge-watching them.
